Meet Susan
Susan D. Brandenburg is an award-winning biographer and freelance journalist with more than three decades of experience writing newspaper columns, feature articles, personal and professional profiles, and full-length biographies.
Her biography of Jacksonville businessman Doc Garland Granger, Sharecropper’s Son, received the Florida Writers Association Literary Award for Biographies. Over the course of her career, Susan has written and published nearly 100 books.
Her work has appeared in a wide range of publications, including Woman’s World Weekly, Chicken Soup for the Golfer’s Soul, Folio Weekly, Jacksonville Luxury Living, Jacksonville Magazine, Women’s Digest, H Magazine, Water’s Edge Magazine, Ponte Vedra Recorder, Resident Community News, and San Marco and Beaches magazines.
Susan serves on the board of the National League of American Pen Women, The Carpenter’s Shop Center, and the Stetson Kennedy Foundation.
A lifelong observer of people and places, she has lived across the United States and abroad, including time in Germany and Japan, and has traveled extensively throughout Europe, Australia, Central America, and Alaska.
She believes, without exception, that everyone is extraordinary.
