Four people sitting at a kitchen table, talking and smiling, with some photographs and papers on the table. The kitchen has wooden cabinets and a window with a view outside.

Susan takes on a limited number of projects each year, allowing her to give each story the care and focus it requires. While many clients come through referrals, others simply feel drawn to begin the process.

If you’ve arrived here, it may be because you’re considering how a story, your own or a loved one’s, can be preserved. From here, it’s a matter of timing, and finding the right partnership to bring it to life.

You don't need to arrive with anything polished. But if you'd like a starting point, consider:

  • A sense of the scope you have in mind (memoir, family history, corporate history, transcribed handwritten letters)

  • Any timeline considerations (anniversary, estate planning, health, transition, or time periods)

  • Have you thought of a title?

  • Where were you born and to whom? Please describe your parents and your family background, including any early influences that shaped your life story.

  • What is your first childhood memory, and how does it reflect your early life experiences?

  • What did you want to be when you grew up, and what path did your career or life journey ultimately take?

  • Tell us about your special interests in life—such as sports, volunteering, hobbies, or meaningful work—and how they contributed to your personal legacy.

  • Who was your most important mentor, and why did their guidance have such a lasting impact on your life?

  • How do you want to be remembered, and what legacy or life story would you like to preserve for future generations?
